About this yacht

The ideal yacht for both family cruising and charter use, ready to moor and presented in excellent general condition.

Single owner and carefully maintained by a true enthusiast.

Designed by Philippe Briand and built by the renowned French shipyard Jeanneau, this 45-footer is known for her ease of handling, balanced sailing performance, and spacious interiors. With generous accommodation and practical deck layout, she is perfectly suited for comfortable Mediterranean cruising.

About Jeanneau Sun Odyssey. The Sun Odyssey line is Jeanneau's flagship owner-operated cruising range — Bénéteau Group sibling to the Bénéteau Oceanis but with a slightly more performance-oriented hull design. The 45 generation was designed by Philippe Briand — one of the leading sailing yacht naval architects.

Cruising profile. A 13.7-metre owner-operated cruising sailboat — typically three cabins, two heads, with strong sailing characteristics in 12-18 knots true wind. Excellent for Sardinia + Corsica round-trips, Croatian island-hopping, and Aegean cruising. The hull form rewards proper trim and sail selection; experienced sailors get noticeably better passage times than from a comparable Oceanis 46.

Layout and equipment. Three-cabin layout (master forward, two doubles aft) with two heads. Generous chart table, U-shaped galley with twin sinks, large saloon. Sloop rig with backstay tensioning, in-mast or slab reefing options, all halyards led aft. Yanmar diesel auxiliary with sail-drive transmission typical.

Buyer notes. Standard inspection: rig age (10-15 year replacement cycle), sail condition, engine hours, hull osmosis. Italian-registered Sun Odyssey 45s frequently come with documented service histories and Sardinia/Tyrrhenian cruising background. NewSail's brokerage handles Italian-flag transfers and any change-of-flag paperwork.
